The project is housed in the existing caretaker house composed of a residential building and an attached garage. The construction is located approximately 150 meters to the south-east of the Lafayette Escadrille Memorial in the Parc de Saint Cloud.

The visitor building is composed of a multipurpose welcome area with interpretive exhibits, independently accessible public restrooms, and a staff area.

As part of the project, the adjoining landscape has been developed to connect the visitor center to the commemorative area.

The visitor building has been designed to create a new connection with the Memorial itself, and the coherent integration of the building renovation and landscape within the overall commemorative site is a primary objective of the design.
